Vehicle Detail
Just found by a personal friend in a red barn in Tri-Cities, Wa where it had been sitting for years, the Lic plate tabs say 1984 so its been off the road for sometime. Believed to had been owned by a women whom used the car as a daily driver until it had an issue and she took it into the Chevrolet dealer called Sallee Chevrolet in Milton Freewater, Ore. where she got an estimate to repair of $500 bucks or so were told and said thats more than the cars worth and left it. She was contacted several times by the dealership to either pay the bill or have the vehicle removed which she claimed she would do and never did, they proceeded to have a mechanics lein done and got a clear title for the vehicle and the owner of the dealership put it in his own collection until 2008 when he called his old parts deptment manager whom showed interest in the car and was looking for a Father/Son project. He did buy it and had it stored in a red barn until my friend found it and I purchased it last week. So the car is a factory Norwood X77 coded 69 Camaro Z/28 and still has ALL of its original born with running gear meaning the original DZ302 motor cast#3970010 dated D 24 and stamped V0507DZ, the 8367 starter is there, 837 alternator 37A with deep groove pulley, water pump and crank deep groove pulleys, 472 GM alum intake, the heads appear to be angle plug 492 double hump heads with M/T valve covers, rusted out headers, wrong holley carb, wrong distributor and coil, flex fan, has correct harmonic balancer, oil pan, 403 bell housing, Muncie 4-speed trans cast#660 stamped P9D28B with matching vin#19n644XXX, it has aftermarket Hurst comp. plus shifter, factory center console, 12 bolt 3.73 Posi stamped BU 0514G2 E, the firewall cowl tag has never been touched original rivets TR 727 (white standard interior) PNT 71 71 (lemans blue) build date 05C-(May 3rd week) X77-( Z/28 no exterior trim), the car is rough I'm not about to sugar coat it and it will require an experienced sheet metal worker to save the body, I've seen worse but it's got a fair share of rust issues, so if your looking for a car to make a long term every nut and bolt restoration project I got the car for you and what better than one of the most desireable performance vehicles Chevrolet ever produced a Lemans Blue 69 Z/28!! Due to condition this vehicle is being sold in "AS-IS" condition and has no warrenties implied so please ask your questions first before bidding and Thanks for looking....
