Being relisted as a 7 day auction..... Please be a real buyer with cash in hand and ready to pick the car up. My wife and I took the car out yesterday evening and drove it for a couple of hours just to check it out and everything performed well. That being said it is a 34 year old car and drives likes and older car. There is still nothing like hearing that 4 barrel kick in on an old muscle car!!! 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 10th Anniversary edition(Authentic) with all numbers matching and has the 6.6L 403 V8 engine. Own the car from Joe Dirt :) I bought this T/A for my wife 8 years ago and we just no longer drive it and it sits as you can see in the pictures, in our extra garage and doesn't get driven. Overall this is a good looking ride that gets attention wherever it's driven. It is a nice driver quality car and was repainted at some point prior to us buying it. It also had a set of rings put in it at roughly 100k miles just before we bought it. It runs as it should and we put a new dual exhaust on it 3 years ago. My wife will be sad to see it go. This car starts right up and can be driven home although with a classic car I would always recommend trailering them a long distance. I recently checked the brakes and made sure they operate as they should and serviced it by changing fluids etc. I also changed the door pins so the doors DO NOT SAG. This is not a junk car and has been kept indoors and taken care of but simply needs a new home. We listed this with NO RESERVE and it will sell to the high bidder. Please see in pic that the car has an NADA book of: High retail $48,185 AVG Retail $29,095 Low Retail $17,825. I realize the car isn't perfect however so we will see what it brings. I will be glad to take ANY extra pictures that you may want to see just ask. Tires are about 50% tread but have some cracking due to dry-rotting but we drove it for 2 hours and it did fine. The T/A has an older set of headers on it that have very small pinholes in the collectors but other than that it is completely stock. The A/C isn't working either but it is all there still on the car. Cruise control is not currently working either. Small amount of rust forming under the doors only on the inside. Brand new battery just installed. Carpet has some discoloration through the years and the front seats appear to be OEM replacements while the rear ones are originals in good shape. Headliner is vinyl and sags a little, T-Tops are mirrored and in great shape! I also have the original T-Top bags that came with the car when it was new. I am located in Gallipolis, OH on the beautiful Ohio River and high bidder will need to make arrangements to pay for car within a week and pick it up in a reasonable amount of time.
