2001 Solara Convertible Orlando area. Listing assumes pickup in Oviedo Florida or paid shipping by buyer. Mileage currently sites at just over 210,000. Car description: Mechanically car runs well. I'd hop in it and take a trip today - no concerns whatever. The idle is a little low , but it does idle. There is a procedure on you tube to clean the part that controls the idle and I do that about every 2 years -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i82s4ZfR2js Above is the link - the process works well. Currently the only mechanical issue with the car is the trunk release. It works about 1/2 the time and you have to pull it repeatedly - I assume the cable needs tightened. The trunk also opens with a key. The car has had 2 timing belts. The tires are very good - not very old and at least 1/2 life left. BF Goodrich rated for this car. The convertible top needs to be replaced - it leaks into the trunk and you also get drips inside in heavy downpours. It also has a few spots where it is starting to come apart. It needs a new top unless you are going to garage keep it. I have records going back to 2002 when I purchased the car - The car has never been in an accident but has had some minor scrapes and scuffs. I backed into a metal pipe and touched it up with spray paint - no damage, just scrapes. Driver seat has a hole in the leather - covered by the seat cover. You would need a new top/bottom seat leather. Passenger is fine. Back seat has a couple small holes and some stains. CD and Radio work fine, no issues. Car has lots of minor dings , road debris and bug scratches - pretty normal for a 2001. Trunk is great - holds 4 sets of golf clubs - amazing for a convertible. I had a plastic container for my items in the trunk so they would not get wet when it rained. I removed the trunk light and always kept the trunk open in the garage so it always dried. Does not come with matts, they are pretty rough. Carpet is ok with some spots. I have a free and clear title.
