Selling for a neighbor who doesn't do eBay. This is a 1975 Suzuki RE5 rotary engine motorcycle. I cant believe I forgot to take a picture of the odometer, but I believe it had 8500 miles. *******NEW PIC OF ODOMETER ADDED+++++++ This is a one owner bike, and has not been on the road since 1980. Owner of this bike had a Suzuki dealership in Brewer Maine in the 70's & 80's. Bike always ran fine & was running fine when put away. Bike had been stored in heated storage until this spring. Storage area also used as workshop so bike has picked up plenty of dust etc. Owner told me rear blinkers are gone, original gas tank had a problem shortly after new, so another was put on. Front headlight & blinkers were removed in order to make way for a Craig Vetter Windjammer which is included in the sale, but off the bike (I was able to get a basic photo as we spotted it up in the garage rafters). Bike also comes with 2 identical seats, again I think a second was purchased as the original one has a small flaw, but is included. Other than that, bike should be complete. Not sure what it would take to get it running, but owner hasn't tried.....bike kicks over fine and is not seized. Photos show some surface rust in spots, the age is evident however not bad at all considering. Bike will clean up fine with TLC. I am in no way shape or form educated when it comes to vintage motorcycles, so I'm going on owners comments. This bike is not a full blown basket case, nor is it an oil change away from being restored.......probably somewhere in between. 2 ways to go here; put a little time and $$$ into this and you have a nice collectors bike, or part out and make a lot of money. I forgot to ask owner about Title, but if not I'm sure a Bill of Sale will be provided if not a Title Bike is located in zip code 04444, which is a suburb outside of BANGOR, MAINE. (4 hours to Boston, MA. - 5 hours to Hartford, CT - 7 hours to NYC) I cannot arrange shipping, however if you can arrange shipping I could get the bike to a location in Bangor if needed. Bangor is the last northern hub and is home to plenty of trucking & shipping operations, you'll just have to do the groundwork, or pick-up is always free as is viewing. Owner would be reasonably accommodating for travelers time & schedules. Any questions please ask and I will try to get prompt responses.
