Vehicle Detail

First off thank you for taking a look at my auction. If you are looking then you most likely know what I have here. Up for auction is an Original Authenticated Meyers Manx Dune Buggy. This Manx is NOT a clone. I had Winnie Meyers of the Meyers Manx Company personally authenticate this vehicle. Let me start off by letting you know this is a No Reserve auction, I am ready to part with this baby in hopes that a new owner can come along and love her the way I did and get her to complete showroom quality. Also, 1% of the winning bid will go to Bunkers In Baghdad, a non-profit organization that collects and sends new and used golf balls, clubs, and equipment to our troops in 22 countries around the world. Also, supplies Wounded Warriors golf supplies around the country so please know that your winning bid supports our troops. Thank you and God Bless. First order of business I will give you the Serial Number: A0431E007EThe Serial Number deciphers as this: A= Manx 2, 0431 Production Number, E=Month May, 0=Year of Production 1970, 07E= Golden OrangeThe buggy has been authenticated by Bruce and Winnie Meyers with an Authentication number of #0104The engine is a 1600cc VW engineThe odometer shows 2836 miles, however, this cannot not be verified. The wheels are Cragar SS 5 lug; Tires have 98% tread on them. Adaptors used on front from 5 lug VW to 5 lug chevy, Adaptors used on back from 4 lug to 5 lug chevyFloorpans; both passenger and driver front quarters recently replacedFIberglass Body; Body is in great condition for its age, minimal signs of any wear on the fiberglass, very sturdy and solid. Paint; She could probably use a paint job within a few seasons, plenty of peeling and chipping. The current paint seems to be a cheaper job done by an amateur and painted over the original paint job. It is by far not terrible, just not "showroom" by any means Some other things to mention would be; Brand new EMPI exhaust, Vintage CB radio, tach and gauges are intermittent, could use a tune-up, new horn installed, seats have some wear but no major rips/tears, minimal surface rust headlight bezels and rims, very slight oil spot leak after running for awhile. Will require VIN verification due to dropping out of California's DMV registry, this will not be a problem for the buyer. Please ask any and all questions you may have and I will get back to you in a very timely manner. I am by no means an auto mechanic, I will do my best to take any technical questions you may have and try and find you the answer. Every issue/item I have described is to the very best of my personal knowledge, again I am no expert just giving my honest opinions. Once again, this is an Original Meyers Manx and NOT a clone! Shipping/Pickup; Buyer will be responsible for shipping or pickup within 14 days of Auction ending. I will help ensure this is a smooth process, we can work together to make this happen smoothly. Within 48 hours of auction closing, a $500 deposit is required in PayPal.On Jun-25-13 at 23:42:11 PDT, seller added the following information: ***Please note this vehicle is also for sale locally and if purchased locally the auction will be ended***
