This motorcycle needs considerable repair and restoration but may be considered a valuable source of original and aftermarket parts. This motorcycle has been stored and inoperable for a long period of time. The engine will not turn over. The carbs will require cleaning if used and the fuel tank has a moderate amount of rust inside. The paint is also cracking on the outside of the fuel tank, but the tank appears to be straight. The front brake will require replacement or rebuild if used. The motorcycle may require many other repairs if the winning bidder is planning on operating it. There have been modifications made to this motorcycle to accomodate the aftermarket performance parts. There has been additional bracketry added to install the original front brake caliper to the Red Wing aftermarket fork leg. The throttle return cable has been removed because an aftermarket Magura throttle housing was installed. The right handlebar switch was removed for what appears to be a lack of room because aftermarket clubman style handlebars have been installed. There is no speedometer drive installed on the aftermarket front wheel assembly and therefore the mileage on the motorcycle cannot be verified. The battery and turn signals are not included and other parts of the motorcycle may be missing. No warranty will be provided and the motorcycle will be sold "as is". The tires currently installed on the motorcycle are only in place to prevent damage to the rims while rolling the motorcycle around. The rear tire will require replacement. The front tire is a new Bridgestone Trail Wing 110/80-19 - it is the only tire that I had available to install. There is only one rear shock installed and it is not original. Correct rear shocks will have to be installed in order to operate the motorcycle safely. 06/27/2013 - Additional information - The bike still has the original black-colored manufacturer VIN sticker (in good condition) with the same VIN that is stamped in the frame and listed on the title. Pod-style air filters have been installed to replace the original airbox assembly, and the original airbox assembly is lost and will not be provided. Seat has been recovered with an aftermarket cover. The throttle lever rubber boots that sit above the slide (throttle valve) cover have deteriorated to a sticky tar-like substance and require replacement, but are still available as aftermarket.
