Vehicle Detail

I am selling, with great regret, a bike that I love. This is my child, my 2005 Ducati Multistrada 1000S DS, in the fastest color, black. I am an active Ducati Club member and currently own 2. I have always kept my bikes garaged, under covers, on chargers, and on front and rear stands. All work for this bike was completed at Ducati Indianapolis. I have the title. I am the second owner. I can tell you about the first as I tracked him down and know whom he is. The original owner bought this bike from Riverside Motorsports in Somerville, MA. He is an older Italian plaster craftsman they know very well. I bought the bike from him off eBay in 2009. It had 2801 miles when I bought it. My title shows 10/08/2009 as the issue date. Shortly after it was delivered it had its first service at Ducati Indianapolis. They checked the brakes and replaced the rear pads. They replaced the drive chain with a sexy gold one, fluids, belts, installed new grips, battery tender plug, installed frame sliders, installed STM slave cylinder, new billet brake and clutch levers, installed new billet res. caps, installed DesmoTimes LED taillight, checked the tune, powder coated the complete rear sets and controls and the alternator and sprocket carrier. Total cost of this was $2000.91 and the bike had 3064 miles at the time the service was done. On 4/22/2011 Ducati Indianapolis changed the oil and clutch plates, installed new map for the Arrow Race Header, replaced a fork seal, and the bike had the 6000 mile service a tad early. Cost $2323.98. The mileage at the time of service was 5706. I did have some issues with the fuel/air map with the Arrow header and the shop sorted that out. On 2/12/13 I had new Pirelli Angel GT tires installed. Mileage at that time was 8729. That brings us to today, where the mileage is 9087, so, the tires are about new. Since I bought the bike I have added: Zero Gravity Double Bubble screen in dark smokeBlack billet shorty leversBlack billet STM slave cylinderFrame slidersDesmoTimes LED rear taillightRed wheel stripes with white Ducati Multistrada letteringBlack billet SlingShot Racing gas capBlack billet res. capsSilver billet frame plugsSTM Vertigo pressure plate (red billet with gold caps)Rizoma clutch cover (not on the bike right now)NSR titanium clutch coverCustom seat cover I designed (first one ever) that LuiMoto made and installed and now sellsMotoGrafix number plate decals and tank pad from the UK which were not cheap and really add some pop to this bikeRide height rod machined 1 inch to lower the bike just a bit. I'm 5 foot 9.Powder coated the rear sets and controls.Carbon4US carbon fiber hand guards from Spain, one of the last available sets. Super cool, very nice, and at this point, in the US, rare, oh, and not cheap.Hoosier Hooligans alternator coverArrow race headerD2 black billet gripsSexyMoto fork slidersIn my humble opinion this is the best looking Multistrada there is. I don't do long tours, as you can tell. This bike is very seldom ridden but I love it. I wanted my Multistrada to be more sporty looking than 'long haul open road'. The original owner did not have the hard cases and I've never felt the need to buy them. Everyone that sees this bike loves it and is surprised it's a Multi because most Multis are ugly and this one is not. It has never fallen over. It has never been dropped. It has never been crashed. It does not have a bulging gas tank and the tank has never been replaced, but, it did have the X seal recall done at Ducati Indianapolis. I do have some of the original parts that I removed. Let's see, what else...the black paint looks great, there are no big scratches on it or rash. I keep all my bikes clean and it has never been on anything but regular roads. That means no gravel and no tracks. I'm trying to be honest here, it's a machine, nothing is perfect but this bike is in good shape, has low miles, has been taken care of by a local Ducati shop that knows me well and it's a good bike. Feel free to ask me anything you might think I left out. On Jun-20-13 at 10:24:15 PDT, seller added the following information:Correction - The clutch cover is by "NCR" and not "NSR". Big difference, small typo.On Jun-24-13 at 19:56:27 PDT, seller added the following information: AS FOR PAYMENT, I'd prefer you send me a cashier's check, something 'guaranteed funds'. A cashier's check is not a certified check. I desire a cashier's check. If you send me a check of any kind I WILL NOT ship or allow you to pickup the bike until the dang check clears the bank. I wasn't born yesterday. That might take 10 days and you should know this. You may also pay me via PayPal. If you are local or somewhat local (meaning in Kentucky or Ohio or Indiana) you can pay me cash in person. I'm willing to meet you on the way so you don't have to drive as far.
