1999 Chevrolet G3500 4x4 Converted School Bus The School Bus conversion and heavy duty 4x4 conversion was done by Quigley Motor Co. in 1999. They are an excellent conversion company, actually one of the best. The bus has Dana 60 front and rear axles, 4 hi and lo settings with lockers. Automatic 4 speed transmission. Air conditioning which blows very cold, and oversized alternator. Everything on the bus works well, including the lights and stop sign. I have removed all of the seats, and placed 2 bucket seats in the back. I had the bus set up to haul 3 dirtbikes or any other toys out into the boonies to play. The 4x4 works well, although I only had to use it twice, I never took the bus off-road to rock climb or anything like that. The paint shines bright, and has only a couple minor scratches. Mechanically the bus in in perfect condition, I had brakes and rotors done last year. The engine is strong, and transmission shifts perfectly. All the windows work well, and are tinted. There is a CD player, with mild amp and sub for good music. Class 3 hitch. The bus is fun to take into public as everyone stops and stares. It sits much higher than other buses and draws alot of positive attention. I cannot tell you how many times people wanted to take pictures of it. I bought the bus from the school district here in NM when it had about 45000 miles on it. It has been well maintained it's whole life. The top allows for a 6ft tall person to walk around comfortably without having to bend over. I do not have the original seats, although they can be purchased for next to nothing from a junk yard which has bus parts. They just bolt right through the floor in any configuration you desire. The title is clean. The rims are off of a full size Chevrolet truck. Tires are Micheline and have approximately 75% life remaining. Any other questions just ask and I will respond.
