I've owned this big old Power Wagon for almost 3 years, is my daily driver a couple times a week. I don't want to sell it but with baby #2 here I guess I need to come to grips and realize that I dont have time for working on stuff that isn't "kid friendly." After bugging him for about a year I bought this truck from the 2nd owner here in Durango, he had owned it for almost 30 years. This is a very rare old truck, super heavy duty, 3/4 ton, 4X4, have never seen a long bed, step side before, was originally built for the US Forest Service. This truck is extremely straight, even the inside the bed is dent/damage free, it runs and drives excellent for its age. Equipped with an excellent running 318 V8, power steering, 4 spd trans. This truck always starts right up, engine is quiet, no smoke, runs strong, shifts great, stops straight, is a rock solid rig. The previous put on an old school dual exhaust with twin cheery bomb mufflers, is pretty loud under load, I love it, reminds me of when I was 17 years old. This truck has been very well taken care of, the previous owner and I both run synthetic oil, is in very original condition, no holes in it anywhere, nothing cut or modified etc. If you think you want this for a wood truck, ranch truck, rock crawler etc I will not sell it to you, this truck should be preserved, enjoyed and left as is or restored but not screwed with otherwise. Call me with questions at my office at 970 259 8170 or my cell at 602 435 2110 Here's some good stuff: K & N air cleaner Edelbrock Carb New Deca battery New windshield about 2 years ago, no cracks or stars etc Very heavy duty front/rear bumpers with an old school Warn 8274 winch Wider than stock steel wheels with excellent 285/75/16 AT tires Old school Hi-lift jack Spare gas can in a military mount The seat was professionally recovered a few years ago and a new carpet kit installed Still has the old CB and an awesome old cell phone (with a cord lol) on the dash I also have and will included all 5 original 16" factory steel wheels and the original factory chrome front bumper This truck is 35 years old, there are things that dont work etc. The dash has some holes in the top where it is crumbling from age, a common Dodge issue (see pics) We do not salt the roads here, is a very dry climate but there is some rust in the inside edges of the doors where all Dodge trucks rust (see pics) There is a place on the driver's door where the paint cracked and shrank, is not rust (see pics) There is a little rust bubble on the passenger step, probably another somewhere (see pics) There are some little rusted road chips on the leading edges of the rear fenders (see pics) The wood in the bed is original, is somewhat warped but still solid (see pics) Front bumper and winch came off an old Ford in a junk yard, I haven't had time to wire the winch, condition unknown The fuel gauge doesnt work (previous owner said he brazed the float back together years ago but it only held for 6 months) The passenger window regulator is starting to get "cranky" for the last couple inches you have to help it up The heater blower motor doesn't blow but you get quite a bit of heat while running down the road. Thats about all I can think of, I urge you to see and drive this truck in person, its a great old rig, solid as a rock and I will miss it dearly Even though this is one of my personal trucks, because I am a licensed bonded car dealer, by law there is some paperwork I will have to do through my dealership. The Previous owner rebuilt the engine about 10 years ago, has only been driven around town so maybe 10K miles since then and I have only driven it to and from work a couple times a week at 10 miles round trip for the last 3 years. I bought three trucks from this guy, he maintained all of them like a machine, oil changes, brakes, windshields etc, what ever they needed they got, he took excellent care of his vehicles which is why I bought them.
