The mileage is incredibly low for a 1988 model with only 138,408 well cared for miles on it. The car's title does have a "not actual mileage" notation as the car had an speedometer change in 1990 with 13,387 miles on it when the car was still under warranty. Those early clusters had well documented problems and this was not out of the ordinary. Simple addition gives you the car's actual mileage which is 138,408 miles. The car has had the same owner since 1992 when the car was purchased with 19,358 miles. That's right, the same owner for 20 years! It was always driven carefully which has kept the normal wear that you'd expect for a car of this age and mileage to an absolute minimum. To get you started on your driving experience is a good set of tires matched to a beautiful set of BMW wheels! The interior is just as nice as the inside, also impeccable! The seats are beautiful showing only the most minimal signs of wear! The trunk has plenty of room for whatever you'd like to place back there with a full sized spare in the back. The car's a/c is very cold, and the heat is just as hot. The power windows, power sunroof, and power locks work just as they should. The only exception is the passenger rear window which remains in the fully up position and will not roll down. As it's a rear window and it's fully sealed we decided to not address the issue. The after market in-dash CD stereo system works great! Of course the car's never ever been smoked in! The instrument cluster works just as it should, none of the warning lights remain illuminated after the car is started. All the light switches work, all the outside and inside lights work perfectly. In the glove box you'll find the car's owners manuals! You really do get everything you could ever want with this car. If the looks of the car didn't already impress you, then getting behind the wheel and driving the car will take your breath away! This is where you really see how well this car has really been kept! The car incredibly tight. It glides over bumps effortlessly and holds well in the turns! Simply incredible! It handles and drives just as like new! We kid you not! The BMW alloy wheels are matched to a very good set of tires that still have plenty of tread remaining! You won't have to worry about tires for quite some time with this car! The engine, while very comfortable and smooth does have all the power that you need. In fact, when called upon the engine will provide more than enough power to get you to where you're going, or to have some fun on the weekends! Acceleration is very smooth. You really feel in control of the car when its accelerating! The engine has more than enough power to handle anything that would ever face it! That's the huge advantage of getting this car in the highly desired 2.5 liter Inline-6 engine! The 5-speed manual transmission shifts just as it should. The clutch feels great! I noticed no flaws at all in the engine and transmission, everything works as it should. The engine is very quick and responsive. We've never driven one of these 3-Series that runs and accelerates as good as this one. When you need to get this car stopped, the brakes will stop the car evenly and effectively just as you'd expect for a car that's so nice. To keep you cruising at a set speed, the cruise control will keep you going however fast you'd like to go. This car's cruise control works just fine unlike other examples out there!
