1973 Honda CB500 Four K2 Diamond-in-the-rough; a complete, unmolested, original 1973 Honda CB500 four that had been sitting for over 30 yrs. Complete with WA title, original owner’s manual and tool kit, Clymer manual and 2 ignition keys. For riding, restoration or parts. This bike has a patina of age and corrosion as shown in the pix and described below, but it’s all there! Starts and runs well, with lights, brakes, speedo, tach, horn, etc. all functioning. With a little work it could be a great bike for getting around the city! Park it anywhere, it looks good from 10 feet away but in unrestored condition you can leave it at the curb without worry. Details: The front fender is in good condition with very little pitting. The rims and rear fender are lightly pitted. The rest of the chrome has varying degrees of pitting / corrosion. The tank has weathered paint but little internal rust. It has a slight crease in the left side, in the black painted area, that might be pushed out with paintless dent repair. The sidecovers are very nice. The seat is weathered and has a couple of small tears. The bike has been ‘lightly’ dropped on both sides; the turn signals, headlight rim and tach plate are scratched. It still looks amazingly good from 10 feet away, it’s a survivor. The tires are about 30 yrs old, they hold air and have tread. I have ridden it about 55-60 mph just to warm it up and check it out, it definitely wants to go faster! But the tires should be replaced for safety. It may also need a fork seal or two, and maybe a new chain to be a reliable runner. The carbs have been cleaned and fuel lines replaced; the engine starts and idles well. It is running a bit lean because the #1 muffler is thoroughly rusted out! The #2 and #4 pipes appear to be solid; the #3 pipe appears solid but it has a dent right at the exhaust outlet as visible in the pix. Overall it shifts and rides well and is mechanically quiet.
