1953 F100 Flat Head V8 Short box half ton 50 year anniversary. This truck was purchased at a estate sale eight years ago by the Austin Minnesota tech school as a project truck to be rebuild by the students. They had the flat head v8 running and yard drove the truck. They started a plan for restoration but never got to it. The truck sat stored in their heated building for the last eight years. The instructor decided that they were never going to get to rebuilding the truck so they sold it to me on behalf of the school. He told me that the steering box should be replaced (lots of play) and that the engine ran the way it should ( engine is free) . The clutch is good and all gears shift like they should. As the pics show, the cab corners and the top of the fenders should have patch panels. As the pics also show, the interior is very clean and the guages show well. The box floor has a piece of plywood in it. The windows go up and down correctly and the doors shut like they should. The running boards are rust free and are in great shape. The radiator should be replaced (has leakes). The truck rolls easy. The brakes should be addressed (no brakes at all but parts are all on the truck). This is a rare 5o year anniversary model with the original 50 years anniversary insignia in the horn button etc.. This truck looks great and has the rare short box half ton. Very hard to find! It comes with a clear and clean title. I do not want to overcall this truck or undercall it. Let the video, pictures and description tell the story.
