This is a fully restored 1957 Beelte here at MF Auto on consignment. It was a pan/frame off restoration done properly. Every nut, bolt, screw, panel, switch, part, etc. was touched in some way. The car retains it's stock appearance but does have some great upgrades to make it that much nicer.
This Beetle was a good car before being completely restored. It was not a rusted out junker before the restoration process began. The body had little to no rust repairs necessary. The floor pans were replaced due to a few minor spots. The front and rear bumpers are stock bumpers. The rear has had minor repairs done and refinished.
The owner of this car has known of the car since 1985. Since the time he has known it, it has not seen rain or spent a night outside of the garage.
The attention to detail is amazing. Everything was redone or replaced with new. This included each nut, bolt, screw, etc. All seals are new as well. Shutting the doors will step you back in time as the crisp feeling is restored as if it was in the showroom back in 1957.
The upgardes given to this Beetle are with driving in mind. The motor is a 1500 single port, dual carbureted, 60/65hp motor paired with a '67/'68 4 speed trans. This Beetle has been fully converted to 12V as well. The rear transaxle is a 1968 with wider rear drums. The updated rear transaxle gives it better handling and stability.
