Vehicle Detail
1994 Ford Ranger standard cab, long bed, 2 wheel drive. 3.0 fuel injected Vulcan V6 (timing chain motor NOT belt) with only 145,XXX ORIGIONAL miles on it. Automatic w/ OD, custom wheels and bigger & wider tires, A/C, bed cover, flowmaster exhaust, vent shades, rear slider, bed liner. I have owned this truck since 1999 at 53,000mi and believe I am the second owner. THIS IS NOT A FLOOD VICTIM FROM HURRICANE SANDY IT WAS HIGH AND DRY ITS WHOLE LIFE! It’s a great little truck with some dents in the cab corner and tailgate (backed into a tow truck once… insert 10 straight minutes of cursing here) but body wise its holding up very well and I wouldn’t hesitate to put it up against any ranger of a similar year. It gets good milage on the highway and will cruse all day 75+ without needing to stop at every other rest stop along the way. The top end of these trucks are bringing $3,500, this one does have some minor issues and are as follows: currently needs a brake line replaced (I just haven’t gotten to it yet usually a $20, 2 hr job), needs freeze out plugs changed and cooling system flushed (ive replaced 2 plugs prior they’ve just developed pin holes from rust over the years), the interior is to be as expected for a ’94 (new set of seat covers and maybe a carpet swap will fix all that ails ya), rear shocks need to be replaced (it’s been bump steering when unloaded), radio needs updating/replacement (sorry I borrowed it for another project of mine but I did leave 2 600watt 6x9’s in the rear cab corners), the windshield has a chip is also leaking some water into the pass side of the cab the floor is still tight tho. Due to the listed issues above, I have set the reserve at $1,300. Even with a little bit of work and a weekend or 2 of elbow grease, its MORE than worth the money to someone with the time to spare, I unfortunately no longer have either available and along with that no longer have the room to keep this lil guy. Also recently replaced on this truck are the radiator, hoses, alternator, and water pump, aside from the typical wearable items. The paint is in decent shape with some minor clear coat delamination but again with a fresh wash and wax it looks damn respectable for a ’94. The tailgate has some minor rust starting in the lower center (was swapped due to tow truck incident … more swearing) This would be a perfect starter vehicle for someone with some time and a little bit of money and patience, great run to home depot or to the local dump/municipal yard truck, light work truck, or just go nuts and do a big motor swap, drop and body kit, or make it a pre runner. My E-bay rating speaks for itself, and as a former auto mechanic and auto body professional I know its priced more than fairly. If you’ve been thinking about something like this I would suggest seriously considering this truck for whatever your needs might be. Thanks for taking a look and Good Luck bidding, someone please take this little guy to a good home!
