1971 Pontiac 2dr coupe #'s matching california car. PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS AD BEFORE BIDDING!!!!!!! Your bidding on a solid california car that has been off the road since 1993. I have alot of details so carefully read as I will cover everything I can from front to back top to bottom. This car retains its #'s matching YS code 400 with original #96 heads and turbo 400 automatic transmission. ENGINE: runs has all original parts from the factory 4bbl intake to the a/c components. It was switched to H.E.I> ignition some time before 1993. The a/c worked then when driven to michigan from california and since lost its charge while sitting and the belt was removed to ensure the pump would not get damaged until a recharge took place. I was working at making this car a driver so I had replaced the water pump fall of 2011 and the clutch fan along with the fan belts. I did not replace the hoses or give the car a tune up as it could use it I have ran the car for a half an hour at a time and have moved it around my garage and up and down my driveway but thats it. TRANSMISSION: original turbo 400 to this car was rebuilt in 1993 and only driven up to 200 miles since then. EXHAUST: is the original dual exhaust mufflers are beat up though all there I would replace the entire exhaust front to back. UNDERSIDE OF CAR: floors and frame all good never patched. has rear air shocks that hold nice to whatever height you want. INTERIOR: power windows, Tilt steering column with no play. seats are in nice shape. dash is crack free front lap belt buckles are missing. lap belts and shoulder belts all there.heater blower no longer works but has one in a box in the trunk i have no idea if it works or not either but comes with the car. Gas guage has a mind of its own. sometimes reads full sometimes accurate. Im sure thats a ground problem. this interior is very nice for a driver quality car or local shows. brand new weather stripping on the doors as well. TRUNK: the trunk has no holes and is in good shape. There is a new trunk seal as well. There is a power trunk release but not hooked up. No spare tire or jack. BODY: This is a california car that has been indoors for 20 years or more. It cant get much more solid than this. doors, rockers quarters etc all solid. The car has had one repaint in base/ clear and is in local show or driver quality condition. with a little wet sanding and buffing you could perfect the paint to really look show. I rate the overal condition of the paint as a 7 on a 1-10 scale. presents itself well and does look really nice as is though. BRAKES: the car has factory power disc brakes. They work fine and look ok but I have no idea the last time they were replaced. I am selling this car as is where is. with no warranty. This is a 42 year old car anything can fail at any given time. I consider this car almost a driver but still a project. if there are any questions at all do not hesitate to ask me.
