Vehicle Detail
I am re-listing this bike due to a member hitting the buy-it-now by "mistake". Please be sure of your actions as these listings are not free. Here is an opportunity for someone with mechanical skills to buy a classic 1975 Triumph T160 motorcycle in "kit" form. The former owner of this Trident was riding it when an oil line ruptured resulting in a spun rod bearing on the right cylinder. Not having the money to complete the repair, it sat half apart for ten years before I purchased it. That was some 14 years ago. In the years that it has been in my possession I have collected some parts toward a restoration, but never got started. Now my wife has told she won't ride any more, so I have decided to spend my time and energy restoring a classic roadster instead. I'm not positive that everything is there, but the major parts are. It has the rare 5 gallon tank that is dent free, but has faded paint on top. Tires hold air, but are old. There is a small dent in the oil tank. You will see in the photos an extra crank assembly that is in good condition. The pistons are stock bore as are the cylinders. A new set of rings. Some new gaskets and wiring harness. Original carbs and stock air filter assembly. A couple of oil filters from England. Very nice original exhaust pipes with mufflers similar to stock. One of the mufflers has had a repair done to the mounting studs. There is a new pair of fork legs since the ones on the bike are worn through the chrome. The seat is new from British Only and will need hinges. There is a new Boyer electronic ignition as well as the original points setup. I'm sure there is more that I haven't mentioned so please ask questions - don't assume. Thank you for looking. On May-09-13 at 20:21:46 PDT, seller added the following information: Having just dug out the papers for this bike I have found that the numbers all match but, the owner's name on the lien release is that of the person who sold the bike to the person I bought it from. The owner's name on the title is that of the person that sold it to me. So, there is a glitch to the title that I hope can be cleared up with a call to the bank listed. If so, I will update with another post to the listing
