Vehicle Detail
Moving to Alaska sale...new job, new opportunities Sadly, I must part ways with my baby. Great, rust free example...every courtesy light, alarm, and even the map light in the rear view mirror works! Headlights pop up and down flawlessly. This is the first vette I've ever owned where all the little things work, even the original radio tunes fine. She was originally purchased in South Charleston, WV and spent most of her years in North Carolina. Yes, that is only 49,696 original miles. I have documentation (including old polaroids of her brand new) from the original owner and the predecessor owner to me. She has always been garaged and is in impeccable shape for an unrestored corvette. I relocated her to California and she is now registered as a smog exempt vehicle (a big plus for California residents). I think the pics speak for themselves. The one re-paint is nearly 19 years old and shows wear...she does shine up nice, but a repaint should be in her future. The tan canvas top (which looks much better than the original white one) is less than 4 years old and still looks new. Issues: Nothing out of the ordinary for these old C3s. My plans included rebuilding the trailing arms, half shafts, and suspension. Which is probably on every C3 owner's mind. However, it was easy to put these projects off as she continued to drive great. There is a little blue smoke when starting up, but dissipates to nothing at warm up.... The title is with the lien holder (Navy Federal Credit Union, NFCU), so I have discounted my price to reflect that. I have a by name contact within the NFCU title department and they are ready to work directly with the new owner. Corvette gurus...you know what you are looking at here. Chevrolet made a little over 4600 convertibles in 1975 in fear of anti-convertible government legislation and didn't build another corvette convertible for 12 years. I have never seen another vette just like this one on the road. This is an opportunity to own a rare C3 at a fraction of the cost.
