This auction is for my classic "UJM" 1980 Suzuki GS1000G. An all stock, all original motorcycle. It has been adult owned since new! Always garaged and maintained by Suzuki and Suzuki Technicians. Never in an accident, nor dropped while moving it around at home. The motorcycle has all of the following NEW: Dunlop D404 tubeless tires, transmission cover screws, oil cap "O-Ring", oil & filter service using factory Suzuki oil & filter, Yuasa (Japan) battery, speedometer cable, Spectro hypoid oils in transmission and rear differential, valve adjustment, carburetors were completely rebuilt by a specialist in Ohio and were bench flow-meter set, choke cable, front & rear brake pads, voltage regulator, rectifier & stator all brand new and installed by Suzuki (approx. $950.00). This motorcycle has a great sound and feel. With the triple vented disc brake system, it actually stops like a newer machine. With the completely new electrical system it starts first try, every time. You can hear the roller bearing motor just purring away at speed and at an idle. Wonderful sounding thing it is. Truly a classic early stock Japanese motorcycle. This 1980 specimen is the first year of the GS1000G with the drive-shaft, very collectible in this stock condition. Overall condition and cosmetically is a 8.5 - 9 out of a 10. It draws attention whenever I stop anywhere.This is one of the finer examples you will find anywhere. . . . . and I look around quite a bit!NOTE: I reside on Long Island, so if you care to come and see the motorcycle in person, that is fine and encouraged. The gas gauge works properly. 2. The self-cancelling turn signal function also works as designed. 3. The gear shift indicator lights on the "dashboard", letting the rider know which gear you are in, also work properly. 4. All other dash lights function 100%. I purchased it in December of 2011 from the original owner in Ohio who always had it garaged and maintained by Suzuki. I followed suit with the philosophy. When I purchased it, it had just 11K on it for the 31 years he owned it ( That's just 355 miles per year!). The other 8K was put on this bike by me last year enjoying the back-roads of Long Island and two trips off the Island to Connecticut's back-roads. This is one sweet machine you will enjoy for years to come. They are known to do well over the 100,000 mile mark without issue. I call it "My Japanese BMW Airhead". ;-)
