1955 Ford Thunderbird Junior electric kid's car. 1955 serial number 601. Measure 66" long, 30"wide, 19" high. Weighs approximately 150 pounds. Build in 1955 by the Powercar Company of Mystic, Connecticut for Ford dealers to promote the new 2 passenger Thunderbird sports car. The Ford dealers used the Junior T-Birds in their showrooms for the kids to ride while Mom and Dad shopped for a new Ford. The Juniors were very expensive when new, selling for about 25% of the price of a full-sized T-Bird in 1955. Fiberglass body. Powered by a 6 volt battery. Beautiful to see, and fun for all ages. It's a jewel.
