This is possibly the nicest, most original 1983 GS850 in existence. I owned one of these brand new in 1982, and it had more miles and more wear after 6 months than this bike has accumulated in 30 years. This is a 1983 Suzuki GS850G with 8384 original miles. This bike is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. It has not been painted and the inside of the fuel tank is spotless. Everything on the bike works, and works correctly. There are no leaks or drips. It starts, runs, drives and stops like a brand new motorcycle. It accelerates smoothly with no hiccups and no funny noises. The clutch is smooth as silk, the transmissions is quiet and shifts perfectly. All of the electrics work as they should including the gear position indicator, fuel gauge and self-cancelling signals. The seat is perfect and the tires have about 1000 miles on them. The stock exhaust is in good shape and all of the tabs that retain the side covers are intact. The stock tool kit is still in place and I have the owner’s manual as well. The bike has fresh fluids including the final drive and brake fluid. It has a brand new battery and a new voltage regulator (one weak link in these bikes). I put about 800 miles on this bike last summer and it performed flawlessly. If you have ever wanted an 850G you will not be disappointed. The bike has a clear title in my name. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but I can transport within 300 miles of 14472 for a reasonable fee.
