Vehicle Detail

For your consideration from our private collection is a 67 Corvette Roadster that is just as honest as you will find! Not only Matching Numbers but this car has the Original Engine Block, Original Transmission Case, and the Original Rear End Unit. As we know in todays world the "Pro's" can make a car's numbers match in about 20 minutes, sad but true! This car has the "Originals" in place. I will list all the numbers and photos of them best I can. I am not a professional photographer so these are the best I could do. This 67 Corvette Roadster is mostly an original car. The body has never been off the frame ( because it has not needed to be ) and the frame is solid solid solid with no rust scale, etc. I cannot see where the body on this car has ever had any major damage at all!! Please look at the photo of the headlight surrounds and the original floor pans are natural and not cracked anywhere. All "Bonding Strips" are in place! The bottom of this car has never been detailed with a spray paint can. This is how I like to see them, honest and natural! You could certainly pressure wash the bottom and it would clean up very nice. I drive this car all the time so a clean bottom is not that important to me. It is it's original colors of Silver Pearl with Black interior. This is not a color change car. All gauges work. The original AM + FM radio works. The clock ticks as the originals did. This car was restored when needed to make this a wonderful driver show car. The paint is not perfect but better than driver quality. It does have some small rock chip touch up's but would not show up in the photos. Headlights doors, blinkers, etc. work as they should. The Convertible top appears to be almost new. No tears, marks, etc. Most of the chrome looks to be originals as well. Always remember you can make a good car better but you can never make a "piece of crap" a good car unless you spend 3 times more on a restoration than the car will be worth when finished. That is just not good business. Tires are almost new Michelin Pilot XGT Radials P215/65R15 with new aftermarket Aluminum Bolt on Corvette wheels! The side pipes are very nice and have been added. Car sounds amazing, very fun to drive! Mostly correct under the hood with the correct shielding, air breather, radiator, etc. We serviced this car when it first arrived and the only thing we had to replace was the clutch. It has a new clutch and pressure plate, shifts wonderful and smooth as it should. Number as "Original" to this car. Vin :: 194677S118611 , 1=Chevrolet, 94= Series, 67 = Body Style 2 dr. Convertible, 7= 67 Model Year, S= St. Louis Assembly plant, 118611 cars sequence vin number. Cowl Tag Original J03= Date built close to May, 3rd, some say third week, some say third day and as we know these dates could be off by as much as a good week, tags were made before the car was. The vin number is exactly in the date range as NCRS says it is supposed to be. Interior trim is Black Standard which is correct and this car has headrest in the seats also. 986 Color Code is Silver Pearl. Engine Stamping and Dates :: 3893657 Correct 327 Engine Block. Engine cast date located behind the right side of engine is D 19 7= April 19th, 1967. Engine Vin number is 7118611 which is 7=67 and the 118611 sequence. Assembly date is V0508HE: V is Flint plant, May 8th and HE for 327/300 Manual Transmission. This is the Original Block that came in this car. You can still see the light broach marks on the front pad. Transmission:: The is the original housing! 38875010, 4 speed manual trans. Number Assembly date is P7E04. P=Muncie,7=67, E04 is May 4th. The vin number is on the drivers side and I could not get a good photo of it but it is 7S118611, clutch rods etc. are in the way for a good photo, sorry. Rear Axle Housing:: AM 4 28 67= 3.36:1 Posi Traction dated April 28th, 1967. Now for one of the most important things to a classic Corvette is the documentation. I took the rubber loose around the gas cap and used my flashlight to look around and the "Original Tank Sticker" is on the top of the tank to the left of the gas cap. Yes, the tank sticker is still on the tank and has never been removed! I took the best photo of it I could. You can just make out the bottom edge of it in the photo. It is in place, guaranteed! As you can see all the dates, tags, and stampings are perfect factory originals. Like I said before this Vette is a good original car, no nonsense, needs no excuses! If you are wanting an honest original little 67 Vette Roadster to drive, enjoy, and have as an investment consider this car. Sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied but it is exactly like my description. I reserve the right to close this auction at anytime for any reason. This is a buy it now auction. If you hit the buy it now then the car is yours and the deal must be as the auction says. I am not hard to deal with but business is business. If you would like to come see the car that is great. This must be done before the auction ends. You and I know this is a very desirable car ( 67 year roadster ) with the "Original Numbers", and for sale at a good market price so with that said first come, first pay, first owns it. You cannot bring a check and pickup the car. All funds must clear before car is moved. I cannot hold the car, just not fair to real buyers. I will store this car in my secure lockup as long as needed. I will help with your shipping arrangements always. Please call Dennis Jr. @ 251-769-1639 ( between 8am and 9pm central time zone ) and I will answer any question that I can. No texting please. I am on the road most of the time so emails will be slow to answer. As you can see from my website I own many Corvettes and other cars. I always try to include for you "every little piece of information and photos" that is most important to me when I purchase a car. I want to make this fun for both of us. Thanks , Dennis Lasseter, Jr. Continental Classic Cars dot com
