Maico 400 Square Barrel Auction is for a Square Barrel 400 Maico. I originally purchased this bike on Ebay some years back to restore. Like many here, I got too many projects and this one has to go. It needs a throttle cable, front brake cable shortened, compression release with cable and lever, fork tube caps, petcock, steering head ball bearings and misc nuts and bolts. This thing was completely apart, and I just threw it together with enough bolts and nuts to move it around, so many bolts and nuts are needed. The fork tubes are junk, the fork crowns have been beat on with a hammer, but the dents can be milled off and cleaned up. They appear straight. The sliders and good. Most everything else is there and is in good condition. Fiberglass tank and air box, plastic fenders. Nice seat with good cover. Like new Circle F pipe. Motor insides look good. Trans is not cherry, but definitely usable. Unknown brand of piston, but it is 72mm with #9868M, D00L5 on the top, has two rings and has .004 clearance. Bore looks good too. Motor needs seals and gaskets and some case screws and barrel nuts, etc. Can deliver to some place on I-5 between Merlin, Oregon and Hollister, California April 19th. I will be attending other west coast AHRMA events that can be delivered too. I will also crate for $100 and send out by LTL truck or you can arrange for the shipping.
