Vehicle Detail

WINNING BIDDER ARRANGES AND PAYS FOR ANY AND ALL SHIPPING. I cannot crate or deliver this bike. For auction, a 1973 (I believe) Penton Six Day 125. I last rode the bike in 1977. Shortly after, it got sold. I just found it in a local barn and bought it! Reunion! The seller stated that he last rode it about two years ago, and drained the tank afterwards. I have not tried to start it. It kicks through and has good compression. It has the desirable original lighting kit on it. There are some blue paint marks with numbers scratched in them in various places on the bike which seems to indicate competition use back in the day. My plans have changed and I no longer need a Penton. Check out the pictures, ask any needed questions. It's dirty, but pretty original minus a few parts: no skid plate, no pipe chrome cover, missing right side cover...basically as you see it. All available out there on the 'Net. It will be sold as-is, with a CT bill of sale from me. If paying at time of pickup, payment will only be accepted in the form of cash green American bills only. If paying prior to shipper pickup, payment will be in US Postal money order which must fully clear my bank before the bike will be released. Somebody buy this old fellow, get him going, and ride him at the 2013 ISDT Reunion in Dalton, MA! Thanks! On Apr-09-13 at 08:30:46 PDT, seller added the following information: NOTE: This is a 1972 Penton Six Day. Thanks to a knowledgeable Penton person, I took a look at the frame and engine numbers. It appears that the bike is actually a 1972 model: Frame number is 201 52661 which indicates January of 1972 production. The motor number is 6997421 Type SACHS 1251/6A There is dab of blue paint at the joints between the side covers of the engine and the crankcase. It's been there forever.
