This 1947 Dodge ½ Ton WC Pickup Truck is originally from the Central Valley of California. The truck has been repainted at some point but there is still evidence of the original blank paint underneath. This pickup truck appears to be fairly complete and a nice original with great patina. The factory inline 230 6 cylinder engine and three speed transmissions are present. The truck appears to have all of its original wiring with the exception of the rear taillights. This pickup is a 6 volt, positive ground electrical system. There is also a spare tire, and the spare tire mount is also under the truck bed! One of the original hubcaps are missing, and the passenger door panel is gone. Some of the glass will need to be replaced as well. The body does not show any sign of rot. Any rust is surface rust, and the worst is in the metal bed floor. I was able to get the motor to run off of a feeder bottle for a short period of time. The truck will need the fuel tank inspected and cleaned before running. A bill of sale will be provided to the new owner. I was not able to locate a pink slip, but do have several of the original registration slips from the mid 60’s. These trucks were very similar from 1940, 1941, 1942, 1946! If you are looking for a great original item with good character and a nice look, this maybe what you are looking for. Please let me know if you need additional information.
