Wagoneer81 Store Description This is an auction for a basket case 1981 Camaro Z28. ----I do have the title in hand. It is an Indiana title. The title is still in the previous owners name but has been signed by previous owner and will transfer with no problems.---- Included in the pictures is one of the firewall cowl tag showing that it is a true factory Z28 car and not a clone, assumption or wishful thinking. As you can see, this car is a basket case. There is NO engine or transmission for this vehicle. Engine and transmission are NOT INCLUDED in this auction. Also, this car has been sitting in the garage, as a stalled project, for several years. I am listing this car for a good friend of mine. Its physical location to me is in his garage, one block away from me in the same town. The reason for selling is that he wants to move on to a different project; One that his entire growing family can ride in comfortably and not require the use of a shoehorn to get them all in and out.... He has faced the fact that an 81 Z, while being a really cool ride, isnt a very family friendly vehicle. This sale includes the rolling chassis/body (front and rear suspensions are intact and complete), as seen in the pictures. Also included are two nose cones, one original to the car and one in better condition (also pictured). You also get two rear wings, trim pieces, both doors, hood, rear deck lid, bumpers, rear bumper cover, the aero trim, a rear window louver cover, bucket seats, taillights, Hurst V-Matic shifter and whatever other Camaro parts that may be in the garage. The front air dam is MISSING and is not included. This is a power window/doorlock, tilt/cruise car. The only rust I can see on the car is a spot on the bottom of one of the fenders (pictured). The floor pans, inner and outer rocker panels and trunk floor are intact and solid as are the rear quarter panels. There may be a skim coat of body filler on the quarters but I will say that its NOT a "Bondo Buggy". The body has been painted with DuPont Chroma Systems base/clear. Ive personally driven and worked on this car, back when it was on the road. It was a street/strip toy at the time. I am confident that it has not been wrecked. It tracked straight, rode nicely and got up the quarter mile in quick style. The subframes are straight (with no signs of straightening or repair), solid and rust free as in there is no rot, maybe a little surface rust but no nasty structure weakening holes. This would make a nice restoration project or a parts donor for another Z28. This is local pickup only. We will not deliver. It will be up to the buyer to arrange timely pickup and transportation of this vehicle and all of its parts. (Id recommend a trailer and something with a cargo box... but thats just me...) This vehicle is located in Summitville, Indiana. Winning bidder will get final address information, contact info and travel directions upon the close of the auction. Due to the fact that the cars owner works late hours in varying location, we would prefer a Saturday or Sunday pickup however we are fexible and will arrange pickup date and time with the winning bidder.
