Vehicle Detail
I bought this on eBay about a year ago from a Miami seller so I could teach my daughter to ride. I wanted something small and simple that a beginning rider could learn on and she loved it, took her test, and now wants to move up. It's a great choice for a new rider, either for basic transportation or to learn to ride. I'm in South Florida and of course would prefer local pickup. If you want it dropped off at a shipper I can do that, but I will charge for my time and will work that out with the seller based on the where, when, and how. The bike is hard to start if it has been sitting for more than a couple of days. I put a shot of carb cleaner in the carb overflow hose that sticks out above the right hand cover and it fires right up. I cleaned and rebuilt the carb and choke and no change. Any time up to about two days turn the gas on, hit the choke, punch the starter and she fires right up- after that it needs a shot. Once it's warmed it pulls strongly up to the red line and all gears work. All controls work, clutch is fine and so are the brakes. Oil looks clean and I haven't changed it as my daughter only put a couple hundred miles on it. Brakes work, tires look good but I have no idea how old they are. No chain snatch and it's a nice and responsive ride. All the electrical works. The gear numbers light up in the little box above the cluster, turn signals and brake lights work, kill switch and the clutch-starter interlock are all operating. The horn sometimes takes a bit longer push. The bike is aged but I don't see any damage. Somebody rattle-canned the engine and that should be apparent in the photos. The photos show the condition pretty well- nicks and scratches and but nothing major. Seat is intact and the foam feels fine. Grips and pegs are fine. All in all, a great bike to introduce someone to riding. Low-slung saddle so it's easy to balance, enough power for side streets and the learning environment, and all the safety equipment is working. All I've done since we bought it is a new spark plug, tried to fix the cold-start after sitting issue but no luck, put air in the tires, and teach my kid to ride it. It's a great little bike. If you want more pictures or a video or need more information just let me know.
