Vehicle Detail
’48 Studebaker Champion Convertible Up for bid is a very restorable 1948 Studebaker Champion Convertible. It was probably last driven in the 1960’s as it has the wide whitewall bias ply tires. The engine has a fresh rebuild with a new clutch and it runs like a watch. The body from the cowl back still has the original paint, with the exception of the right rear fender that had some previous damage and has been repainted. The front fenders have some rust so I am including two additional very good front fenders. The door posts are solid; the doors open and close easily. The front floor pans need to be repaired as shown in the pictures and rocker panels need to be replaced. The convertible top bows and rear window are included but not pictured. Both door windows are missing. A very good trunk latch is included as are extra chrome pieces for turn signals. I also have a box of extra parts that will be included. There is a 12 volt battery in it for starting. I intended to change the car to 12 volts and install Studebaker Lark wiring and gauges, but none of it was done. There is no wiring in the car.The car has a clear registration in my name. I will be happy to answer any questions about the car. Good Luck Bidding!!
