Vehicle Detail
I have a 2005 Cadillac CTS-V with the 5.7L 400 horse power LS6. Its black on black and has 101,500 miles on it as of March 27, 2013. It is still my daily driver so the miles will change slightly. I live in NE San Antonio and my commute is not long. I am considering going to Houston this weekend so if you live there and would like to see it in person let me know. UPGRADES: OBX 1 7/8"headers Borla exhaust system from the headers to the tailpipe K&N cold air intake system Clutch and flywheel has been changed to a C5 corvette clutch UMI Performance Poly Engine Mounts UUC Motorwerks short throw shifter Transmission has bronze shift fork pads and billet synchro keys on gears 1-6 (all except reverse) NEW PARTS Within 18 Months and 10,000 miles: Rack and Pinion along with both tierod ends Spark plugs and wires Brake pads all around and Front Rotors All 4 tires (Goodyear Eagle F-1) I used to have a 404 stroker motor in it, which is why I had the tranny built up so if you are looking to modify the engine the tranny will hold whatever horsepower you put on it. The stroked engine was in it for about 5,000 miles and broke a lifter so I pulled it out and put the stock 400 HP LS6 back in so it technically has 5,000 less miles on the engine than the car. The rear trunk has two holes where the rear spoiler was mounted. I just put two plastic caps in so it doesn't stand out. Your choice to get a new one or not. I personally liked it without it. They run around $100 on here painted to the color of your choice. Feel free to ask any questions and I can take more pictures if need be, but I think they are show the car fairly well. I didn't detail it beforehand or anything so maybe I will and post some pictures when there is more daylight as well. The wheels and grill are back due to plasti-dip. If you don't know what that is it is pretty much just a rubberized paint that peels right off so if you don't like the black you can always peel it off with a little work or use some sort of mineral spirits. To avoid making anyone ask about the damage on the report I'll clarify it real quick It was of course in 2005 so it was long ago, but it was repaired at the local Cadillac dealer so you can call them and give them the VIN and they can explain the damage. I'll see if they won't tell me and I'll post for everyone. Ultimately it was just a front bumper replacement so a fenderbender really. They actually reused the bumpercover from what I can tell and just replaced the metal bumper. The radiator support shows a little crease if you take off all of the trim to look at it. It is solid and has no allignment problems though. I have had it alligned twice since I've owned it. As you can see I bought it from a guy in Idaho when I lived in El Paso and then I've moved to San Antonio.
