Up for sale is my beautiful, torch red 1992 Corvette Coupe with targa top. I purchased this car in 2010 from a gentleman in Rhode Island and had it shipped to Texas. He was the third owner and I am the fourth (please see Autocheck Report for details). Prior to it being shipped to Texas three years ago, the car spent its entire life in Rhode Island. It is immediately evident that the car has always been garaged, only used in good weather and well cared for its entire life. When not in use, the car stays under a car cover (pictured and included with sale) in my garage. I bought it as a weekend car. The problem is that I have a daughter and two younger sons and can only take one of them out at a time. Therefore, I am selling this and going to get another fun car with a couple more seats. This car has been a dream to own, but realistically, I have only put a little over 3,000 miles on it since 2010. I bought it with approximately 15,500 and you can see from the pictures that it currently has 18,845. Mileage may change just a bit as I go through the selling process. The car has had regular Mobil 1, synthetic oil changes and although I have not driven it much, I have had the oil changed each year with the same. In 2010, shortly after I purchased it, the “Ride Control Light” came one. I had this serviced and it turned out to be a loose wire harness. In 2011, the ECM went out on the vehicle and I had this replaced. In October, 2012, I noticed some small oil residue on my garage floor. I had this checked out by Bankston Chevrolet of Fort Worth and they replaced all leaking gaskets and seals for the timing cover, front crank seal, water pump and distributor drive shafts as well as the rear crankshaft seal, housing gasket and oil pan gasket at a cost of over $2,000. Much of this work was not necessary, as most of those seals were not leaking, however, I wanted to be proactive. Since that service I have only put another 30 miles on the car and there are no warning lights or issues of any kind. The condition of the car is fantastic. I’d give it a 9.5 exterior and 9.5 interior. It has never been in an accident, the red paint is beautiful and it really does not have a ding or dent. There is one small paint rub on the front bumper (pictured) and the rear brake light has a minimal bit of discoloration (also pictured). All of the equipment on the car works as it should. Being in Texas, I will tell you that the air conditioning works incredibly well (even in July and August)! The car is pretty much stock except with the exception of two items- After I bought the car, I had the windows tinted to aid the A/C and had a very nice Clifford Alarm installed (includes two way paging, keyless access and two alarms on the car). It does have some excellent factory, optional equipment including the Selective Ride Handling (great feature), low tire pressure warning sensors, electronic climate control and power seats for BOTH passenger and driver. One of the other standard features I like about the coupe is the targa top. It allows for it to be much like a convertible without a lot of the hassle- I have the original tool to remove the top and it works great! The tires have 50-60% of their tread left. You will notice it also comes with the original factory window sticker! Thank you for taking a look.
