1936 Fiat Topolino exceptional barn find. This can is nearly complete and in remarkable condition except the middle of the floors which will require patching or replacement as a result of 2 bags of fertilizer laying on the floors for several years. The remainder of the body is in VERY nice condition. The fenders are in near NOS condition with no rust dents or cracks as is the hood and grill which are very straight. The body is exceptionally straight with a second coat of amateur paint and appears to have had no repairs or bondo treatments. It comes with complete convertible top irons and boxes of re-chromed door handles, latches, trim etc. etc. and a full set of replacement glass. The frame appears to be very straight but has some surface rust. The engine, transmission and rear end are complete as well as the suspension and steering assembly however there is no drive shaft. The original tires and rims are toast as they sat on a dirt floor for years however they will hold air (for a while) and the car will roll. I have the radiator and gas tank but they were removed for draining and there is an extra cylinder head. I bought the car in Vegas with the intent of building a “period” altered dragster but because of the cars completeness and condition do not have the heart to cut it up. I bought several dragster parts for it (pictured in the add) but they are NOT INCLUDED in this sale. Because I don’t know whether the buyer will be a restorer or racer I will offer these parts to the winner (complete lot or individually) if he chooses for an additional $1500 which is considerably less than what I paid for them. If the winner is a racer there is a small fortune in very rare parts that he wouldn’t be using from the car and he could recoup much of his investment if he wanted to sell them to restorers. I DO NOT have a title but will provider the winner with a bill of sale or I can acquire a legal Indiana title in about 3 weeks if needed. I am only selling the car to help finance my next 32 to 37 Ford purchase as soon as I find one. So don’t pass up this opportunity to acquire one of the nicest and very few Topolinos left in this country. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.On Mar-30-13 at 15:36:58 PDT, seller added the following information: I was informed by an eBay member who claims to be a topolino expert that because the engine is an overhead valve engine as opposed to a flathead that is an early 1940's vintage not 1930's as I was told by the previous owner. The expert also informed me that there is virtually no difference in the body or appearance styling of the topolino until the mid 50's. I tried to research the original VIN tag which i found on the firewall to learn the actual year but was unsuccessful. If any bidders would like to try the same, contact me through the phone number listed and I will provide the VIN #. If this matter causes you great concern you are of course welcome to retract your bid. I also found the original gauges a new carbeurator, hub caps, window tracks and other hardware for the car that I am not familiar with. Regards
