***Notice to Buyers***The Sinyster Mustang... I am listing this car for a close friend. My feedback on eBay has always been 100%. I've sold many cars of my own here, but never a car I did not own. Let me state for the record, I would not do this under normal circumstances, however, as I said this is a close friend of mine and I know this car well. I have seen it up close and personal, and watched it progress through the restoration process. We are both in the aviation business, FAA licensed aircraft technicians and have been for over 30 years. This is an "aircraft quality" restoration. My friend did his homework, worked very hard to painstakingly create his dream hot rod, and now has to sell it. This is a difficult task, at the same time it is a wonderful opportunity for someone who has envisioned the same kind of Mustang restoration, and I know there are many of you out there. As with any restoration, it is always more cost effective to buy one completed rather than doing it yourself. That is a sad reality, but everyone in the car business knows this to be true. I hate to see this car sold, but we must get on with it. I've submitted the detail and the story he provided to me below. He has tons of documentation on this restoration. I believe he saved every receipt for every nut, bolt, clamp and wire he bought for this car. It is truly straight, as advertised, or I wouldn't list it. If you want to know what it is, bid on the car, serious bids only please. Good luck. 1966 Eleanor MUSTANG FOR SALE 1966 EFI Mustang Coupe. Great driver and mechanically sound in every way. The unique appearance of this car generates a tremendous amount of attention.It’s also a trophy winner taking one of five Hot Rod Nationals Participants Choice awards out of 2350 entries, and 3rd in class in a Ford and Mustangs MCA (Mustang Club of America) Sponsored show, plus trophies from several other local car events. There is not a show it has been in that it hasn’t won something. General: 1966 Mustang Coupe. Completely restored with Eleanor ground effects package. New fenders, doors, quarter panels, floor pans. Entire frame/body blasted, painted, and undercoated. Ground effects package includes new fiberglass hood, trunk lid, qtr panel side scoops, wheel flares, front racing valance, billet grill, custom lower rocker panels with functioning side exhaust exits. Tilt steering wheel, high back Procar racing seats, complete custom billet gauge package, new carpet, dash, stereo with iPod input and 4 speaker system, completely rewired chassis and EFI system. Paint color is a 1970 Boss Calypso Coral with 2006 Silver stripes. Really pops in the sunlight. Wheels are custom finished 16” Torque Thrust II’s with 225 Front/245 rear tires. All new stock suspension and steering components. 620 front coil springs. 5.5 leaf rear. New 16:1 steering box. Tie all of this together with the Maier Racing Sub Frame connectors and roll bar and you have a pleasantly stiff race car feeling ride vehicle that has absolutely no body roll in the corners. The rear seat has been removed so this is a two passenger fun car. Less than 1500 miles on freshly overhauled roller block 302 (5.0) engine by Swensson Racing in Proctor MN. Dyno’d by Line Performance in Wright MN. Dyno sheet shows the engine pulled 372 HP with 340 ft lbs at the flywheel. 93 Cobra Fuel Injection system with 24lb injectors, a BBK MAF sensor, and the highly sought after A9L computer. No need to pump the throttle when starting this car. The electronic fuel injection does it all and makes for a very easy and drivable street car when you want to simply cruise downtown, or set you back in your seat when you want to feel it. Less than 2000 miles on overhauled 5 speed T5 transmission with 2.95 gear set. The 5 speed makes for really nice cruising with the tach indicating only 2000 RPM at 70 MPH and offering 22 MPG hwy. 4 wheel power disc brakes to stop you quickly, Ford 8” rear end with new Auburn limited slip 3:55 gears and new Currie axles. Essentially this is a brand new highly modified and fun 1966 Mustang. If you don’t like or don’t want a lot of attention when cruising about, then this car is not for you. 6800 miles since complete restoration, 1800 miles on engine rebuild.
