This ONE owner car has been maintained and used by the same family since 01'. It has a rare combination of colors and options. Very seldom do you see a GLS (monsoon, sunroof, heated seats, pw, pl, radio controls on steering wheel, leather, power mirrors) reflex silver on grey leather with a 5-Speed. This car is capable of 55+ MPG and will last a lifetime if maintained properly. This car has always run Mobil 1 synthetic oil. It has some cosmetic issues which I have photographed (mainly front fenders, driver has a dent and passenger has rot which was a VW recall due to moisture collecting in lip of fender, also rear trunk lid is dented and DOES NOT LOCK) These are pretty minor issues as far as I'm concerned, mechanically it runs well. The interior is in EXCELLENT condition with very clean leather, functional heated seats, and some other nice options. The moon roof does adjust to the tilt position but I was advised by the previous owner not to slide it back as it has issues returning to original closed position. The driver side carpet has some "heel holes" from a female driver. The interior overall is VERY VERY clean and still smells like VW crayon (typical VW leather smell) Mechanically the timing belt was serviced around 160K miles as I was told by the original owner. I do not have any maintenance records, they stopped keeping track over the years I suppose. The clutch is good and doesn't chatter. The car does not burn oil or have any turbo noise. It has great power, almost more than my 04' TDI. The A/C blows ICE COLD. There is a vibration (sometimes pretty violent) at idle on occasion but as soon as you give it any RPM's it fades away and runs very well. The check engine light is on for a wiring harness malfunction for the glow plugs. The original owner said he had VW look at it and they couldn't figure it out. It does NOT effect anything with startup or drivability, just an annoying service light. There are no other abnormal lights on. The tires and brakes are good. The car drives very nice and straight. I am selling this car as is without any warranty. Please bid with confidence and responsibility.
