1949 Willys VJ Spring is around the corner . . . and time to get out the convertibles is soon. I purchased this Jeepster for my sightseeing company based out of the Black Hills. It is a great little car that gets lots of notice and is fun to drive. The reason I'm selling is our Safari Tours are busy and I need larger vehicles and it just doesn't hold enough passengers The car has been garaged all winter, but now that the weather has improved, I'm taking it to my mechanic and having new rear brake seals put in. Last fall I thought that there was a problem with the transmission . . . but the problem was with the driver! I had a couple friends drive it and they showed me the art of "double clutching" and it works fine now. ( If you would like to have a mechanic of your choice inspect the Jeepster, just let me know.) Below is a list of other additions I've added.New: top and side curtains, frame for top, gas tank and sending unit, exhaust pipe and muffler, fuel pump, turn signals, hub caps, seats covers, a new overdrive, chrome bumpers, steering wheel with suicide knob, outside mirrors, dash nobs and carb kit. The engine is a totally rebuilt 4 cyl. I'm a big guy so I had a slider built for the driver's seat so it can be adjusted and it works great. It is a six volt system and has radial tires that are like new (I'm reversing tires so whitewalls are facing out).
