This 2003 Toyota Prius Hybrid is NOT RUNNING, NOT RUNNING. It did run 2 months ago but the light was left on inside and then it would not start. When the key was turned, the dash lights and the displays came on, the engine started for a second. If the accelerator was pressed to the floor, the engine would run for a minute but it would not move at all and the engine would miss. This car has two batteries; a main hybrid battery inside the engine and then a regular car battery in the trunk. On the dash display there is a section that displays the charge of the main battery in the engine, usually the display says full, but when the light was left on inside all the batteries went dead. The display said empty after we recharged the batterie in the trunk. Before it stopped running a Toyota dealer said the middle two cylinders had low compression, but it ran fine except for when it was idling and then the engine missed. When the engine was revved or when driving, the missing stopped. I am not a mechanic and definitely do not understand the hybrid half of the engine.
