Hello, I am selling my 1970 Toyota Hilux pick-up. I had every intention of completing its restoration but I have acquired another restoration project and do not have the time to complete both. It is a great and rare little pick-up that is fun to drive and it will take little to be 100% restored. It has a clean Virginia title and 130,000 miles (hardly broken in for a Toyota). Trust me; it will not take much to get this rare mini truck back in tip-top shape. I will post some more pictures soon. I really hate to let it go. I am a Toyota enthusiast with 100% positive feedback. This is to state I am not out to deceive anyone. If you have a question please email me. The good: - The original body is straight with no rust in the fenders, frame, or rocker panels and just a few very minor dings. - Mechanically, it is very good. It runs fine, starts right up, and runs great. - It has most of its original parts. - I have discovered that a lot of the other parts are interchangeable with and can be found on Land Cruiser specialty websites. There are also large online communities dedicated to these trucks such as Toyota Minis.com. - Good tires. - Tight steering. - New custom exhaust. - Breaks has been refurbished and adjusted. - It comes with all emblems EXCEPT the front "TOYOTA" emblem. - New shifter boot. - It has the original "TEQ" (original Toyota moniker) mud flaps, which are very rare. - I am including NOS window seals, door wipers, windshield seals, back-window seals, new hood release cable, and defroster hoses (all which are very, very rare for this truck). The not good: - There is a small rust spot under the right (US drivers side) floor mat. This is a minor fix (see picture). This was likely due to the door and window molding being dried out. I have replaced the door molding, so it no longer leaks. Again, I am including all the molding and seals for the doors, windshield, and back window with the purchase. - The truck needs a paint job. - The electrical will have to be gone through: blinkers, fuel gage, and engine temperature gages work intermittently. This is likely due to having the original fuse block and a ground somewhere. I don’t have the time to do the work myself. If you do decide to commit to purchase, there is a US $500 non-refundable amount due within 48 hours of the purchase. Thereafter, you have two weeks to send via certified mail the rest of the purchase price as a cashier’s check. Once the check clears, I will mail the title to you via certified mail. Shipping and all associated costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer. I will make reasonable accommodations (at my own discretion) to meet you or the shipping company and arrange transport.
