Vehicle Detail
1972 GMC Sierra 2500 Southern California truck. Manufactured in Fremont Ca. June of 1972. The truck has had three owners since new all in So Cal. I have owned the truck since 1993. This truck has to be one of the cleanest survivors left on the planet. It is also a big block which according to NADA is a 30% price increase over a small block. It was manufactured in June of 72 making it one of the last ones off the assembly line before the model changeover to the 73. I bought it with a camper, I sold the camper last year. It has three gas tanks for a total of 52 gallons. I have not used the two auxiliary tanks for quite awhile. When I got it there were 52k miles on the odometer it now has 68,6xx, I drive it every couple of weeks. It was never used as a work truck and the only thing that has been in the bed was the camper. It is completely original with the Z84 Sierra Grande trim, the L47 402 big block and the TH 400 transmission, power steering and brakes no AC. All numbers match. The interior has never been touched and it looks great. I had it repainted in 1994 about a year after I bought it. There is no rust on the body. There are no parking lot dings in the sides because it had the camper on it. It has not been driven in snow or salt. It starts every time and drives and stops straight. Everything works, horn, turn signals, emergency flasher, all windows roll up and down easily, windshield wipers work washer does not. The radio is a 90s electronic tune with cassette. The dash was not cut. I have the original radio. I converted to passenger car plates in 94 to save money on the license. I still have the original blue plates. In the past year I have: Had the transmission rebuilt. New starter. New brakes on front and rear a new master cylinder and one rear wheel cylinder. New spark plugs, wires, points and condenser. New radiator two years ago. The carburetor was professionally rebuilt two years ago. Deep cycle battery. Please e-mail me directly I will give you my telephone number if you want to talk.
