You are bidding on one of the nicest 1978 Chevrolet Monte Carlo’s you will come across. It is a matching numbers car with only 44K original miles. Title shows “EXEMPT” due to the year – anything 10 years or older is exempt. The prior owner had it garage-kept always and used it only as a show car – and YES, it is that nice for a show car. The strong running V-8 engine fires right up – you can hear the smooth rumble of the dual exhaust. The transmission goes effortlessly into gear and shifts through every gear with no hitches. I would hop in this car and drive it across country without hesitation. The exterior, excluding the few hundred dollars damage to the header panel and front bumper, is immaculate. The paint looks as nice as one that just came off the assembly line – I cannot find any flaws in the paint whatsoever; no dents, rust or scratches. It is beautiful! The vinyl top is in near-new condition as well. The tires and wheels look like they are new as well. The interior is also in beautiful condition, all original seats, carpet, dash, etc. – amazing! The driver’s seat piping has pulled away, but can easily be repaired. The driver’s handle also has some stitching that has pulled away. If you take a good look at the engine bay compartment and the trunk, that will give you an indication of how well-maintained this car was. They both are so clean and new-looking.
