You are bidding on one of the nicest 1974 Mercury Cougar’s you will come across. It is a matching numbers car with only 97K original miles. Title shows “EXEMPT” due to the year – anything 10 years or older is exempt. The strong running V-8 engine fires right up. The transmission goes effortlessly into gear and shifts through every gear with no hitches. I would hop in this car and drive it across country without hesitation. The exterior is in super nice and clean condition. The paint is still beautiful! It is missing the bumper guard on the front bumper and a small piece of one on the rear bumper. The chrome of the front bumper is still in very good condition; the rear has a small amount of pitting starting. The tires and wheels look like they are in near-new condition as well. The interior is also in very nice condition, all original seats, carpet, dash, etc. – amazing! The driver’s side door panel shows some cracking (see pictures).
