1974 Karmann Ghia1974 was the last year of the Karmann Ghia. It has the rare automatic stick shift. In storage for 26 years, purchased vehicle from storage facility in Detroit. It has a clear title. I took the car home installed a new battery, cleaned the fuel system, coated the inside of the gas tank to prevent rust, replaced the fuel line, and rebuilt the carburetor. Car now starts easily and runs well. I then worked on the brakes, replaced the master cylinder, brake lines, calipers, wheel cylinders, and break pads and shoes. Car stops properly. The clock works, the heater works, and the gauges work. The car is an awesome daily driver or ready for restoration. The floor pan is solid but there is some rust on the rocker panels. The car has parking stickers for hospitals in Hawaii, New York, and California. The odometer reads 67,944 and I believe that to be the original miles.
