We acquired this vehicle just as it sits, so we know what the photos tell. Mechanically, it does run and start, but there seams to be issues with the carburetor. We have a key for the ignition but it the ignition does not lock therefor may be turned with any object and is missing the push button start. All body has been restored with exception of existing floor rot underneath which can be repaired by replacing the floor pan. The engine bay is clean and there is no rust or structural damage throughout the frame and uni-body. Due to the awesome condition of the interior, engine bay, and body, the few fixes this vehicle needs to be 100%, are minor considering the rarity and overall value of a fine automobile such as this 1960 Rambler. OverviewThe Rambler American is an automobile manufactured by the American Motors Corporation (AMC) between 1958 and 1969. The American was the second incarnation of AMC's forerunner Nash Motors second-generation Rambler compact that was sold under the Nash and Hudson Motors marques from 1954 and 1955. There will be a $199.00 processing fee on all vehicles sold by Capital Auto Auction. Buyers with less then five (5) feedback will need to contact Capital Auto Auction prior to bidding or their bids may be canceled. Seller reserves the right to end auction at anytime without notice. Please check sellers location as Capital Auto Auction does sell cars from different locations. NOTE: Pennsylvania Residents are required to pay sales tax and title transfer fees at time of purchase and/or pickup.
Storage Fees
Any car left on our lot will begin to incur storage at a rate of $20.00 per day starting on the 14th day after the end of the auction. Cars that are paid for and left on our lot more then 45 days will be disposed of and/or will be impounded and Capital Auto Auction will apply for title to subsidize storage fees.
