Vehicle Detail
We are selling our 1971 Camaro. This was originally a west coast car ( Arizona) and the body has no rust to speak of. We bought the car with the expectations of bringing it too touring condition. It currently is set up for racing with the racing seats, small steering wheel and fire extinguisher mounted in the car. Exterior of the car is black/ green metal flake in the paint. Beautiful in bright sunshine. It has flames on the nose that start out silver and go into green and silver. Very eye popping! The car has the rear deck spoiler and the hood is the 4" race style. It is fiberglass and held down with chrome pins. It is a full bumper Camaro and not currently on the car. I do have it. The doors on the car close really well. I have owned newer 2nd gen Camaros and was amazed at how well these doors closed. They do need new striker bolts on both sides to keep doors from jiggling but they do not hang at all. Perfect fit every time you close them. The car came with the stock base outside mirrors. Both sides were broke when we bought it. Was going to change to bullet style anyway. It has American Racing 17" wheels wrapped with Sumitomo HTRZII P275/40 ZR 17's which have less than 1,000 miles on them. Under the hood we have a 305 HO. The listing says 307, thats an ebay thing. The motor is bored .30 over and has an aggressive racing cam.Aluminum intake under a Holley 750 dual feed carb. May be an Edelbrock.......surely dual feed. The Turbo 350 transmission has a 2800 stall converter and a B&M ratchet shifter. The transmission on this car shifts so smooth and flawless its unreal. Car has Hooker headers and 3" dual exhaust to the back with Flowmasters and chrome tips at the rear. Very hot looking! Interior not much to speak of. We got it no carpet, no interior trim, and dash was a mess. I have new carpet for it still in the box. Dash is still a mesh. But i did make a new wire harness for the entire dash that is installed now. The gauge cluster is shot and needs replacing but the harness is labeled for easy connection once new gauges are installed. I do have a set of Graphite leather power seats with the tracks that were purchased for the car and will include with the sale. In all, the guy who built this engine coupled with the tranny and the beef up rear end knew his business. The car cranks up on the first turn. Has an incredible sound to it. And it runs and drives wonderfully. This Camaro is not the run of the mill butchered, back yard put together crap type cars you see all over. The previous owner was a doctor with no financial restraints. He had this powertrain professionally built and its incredibly fast. ***NEW ITEMS ON THE CAR*** Tires less than 1,000 miles. Battery, belts, master cylinder and brake pads. Mini starter couple months old. Headlights are new, all bulbs on exterior new. Windshield new. Rear glass is new and is Lexan from Harwood Industries, it still has the outer protective film on it. ***IN NEED OF RESCUE*** Chrome trim around windows was mostly needing replaced. I removed it all, and your welcome too it. Outside mirrors as described above were broken when we got it. Front bumper was full across, i removed to make a split bumper car. I still have it and will include with the car. The car came with a dent on top right fender. The car was a victim of vandalism recently and has about 15 small dents in the roof, one on the passenger side high up on rear panel and a chip smaller than a finger nail taken from the rear spoiler. Its fiberglass obviously. The car is by no means in a state of disrepair. A little work and attention to detail and this Camaro is one of a kind. The car was appraised by American Collectors Auto Insurance the summer of 2011 at $18,834 dollars and was going up everyday after.............I am selling for half of that. I am not familiar with uploading photos and such so i cant show the damage in this listing. I will take some and my wife will send out to those bidders interested. I am not in a hurry to sell so please do not bother with ridiculous bids and messages. The buyer is exclusively responsible for picking up the car or having it shipped. Tell me where and when and i will have it ready to go. Title is clear. Once full payment is made i will mail the title to the buyer with our signatures on it. Paypal is the only option here so dont bother with asking. Of course cold hard cash is acceptable. The car is being listed locally and i do reserve the right to end the bidding at any time i choose. ********PRICE DROPPED********* NEED ROOM IN GARAGE FOR NEW SS.
