Vehicle Detail

0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false Up for auction at low reserve is our classic 1966 Ford Mustang 2-door hardtop. This low-mileage, rust-free California car has been meticulously maintained and cared for over the years. It’s stunning! There will be no disappointments for the new owner. Very clean car inside and out. VIN#: 6T07C196112 Assembly Plant: Metuchen, NJ Engine Size: 289CI V8 Carburetor: 4 BBL Mileage: 18,160 Exterior Color: Red Interior Color: Black Transmission: C4 Automatic Drive: Rear Wheel Drive Seating Capacity: 5 Top Speed: 122 MPH ** Info from driver side door tag ** Body: 65A (2-Door Hardtop) Exterior Color: T (Candyapple Red) Interior Trim: 26 (Black Crinkle Vinyl – Standard) Production Date: 15M (December 15, 1965) D.S.O. - Domestic Special Order: 71 (Los Angeles, CA) Axle: 6 (2.80:1, Conventional) Trans: 6 (C4 Automatic) Engine / Trans: This first generation Mustang is equipped with a high-performance 289 cubic inch V8 motor, Holley 4-barrel carburetor with C4 Automatic trans on the floor. Custom Edelbrock valve covers are embossed in racing red and blue flames, very unique. Everything is mechanically sound and functions as it should. MSD Ignition. Car starts every time on first turn of the key, idles and shifts through gears perfectly. Newer dual exhaust system has a nice deep rumble and has been fitted through rear lower valance just as the GT cars of the era. The engine compartment and trunk area are clean and tidy and the undercarriage and floor pans are incredibly rust-free and unsoiled as you can see in the photos. Exterior: The exterior is in A+ excellent condition. The classic red paint shines like brand new (a professional job done in Spring 2012) and, with black interior, is quite sought after for 1965-66 Pony cars. Photos don’t do the car justice. It’s a crowd pleaser and turns heads everywhere. The body is laser straight with NO rust, dings, dents, scratches or structural issues whatsoever. The emblems/badges, glass, rubber, chrome bumpers and hardware are all in good shape though the thin chrome trim molding around driver and passenger windows could be replaced (a $54 fix). The high-performance Winston Winner G/T tires are brand new and the PACER 5-lug wheels are top quality (about $2000 in wheels and tires). All four tires are size 205 / 70 /14.Interior: The interior is also very nice. The black bucket seats, rear bench, door panels, headliner, carpet and Pony floor mats are all clean with good color and little wear. The deluxe wood steering wheel looks beautiful against black interior. Blinkers, head lights, tail lights, trunk lock, door locks and gauges are all in working order. Horn works but radio and GT fog lights need connection. Misc: Please review our 100% positive feedback rating and see that we have been a trustworthy Ebay member since 2000. This first generation Mustang is truly a beautiful specimen of muscle car history. It’s a fast, reliable, rare and great looking classic you won’t have to spend any of your time or money on. Turn the key and drive to any regional car show - it’s tuned up and ready to be enjoyed for many many years. Not interested in trades. Clear title is in-hand. The original Owner’s Manual, Wiring Diagram Manual, Pony floor mats, plaid trunk liner, Mustang key ring, 2 sets of keys and Pony license plate seen in photos are all included in the sale. *** Reserve has been set well below fair market value to ensure immediate equity for the buyer.
