We are selling this 1991 Diesel Converted Land Cruiser. This FJ80 was converted to a 6.5 liter Turbo Diesel about 3 years ago, and still runs great. We performed some preventative maintenance at the shop to get her ready for the next owner.Some details on the cruiser:1. 1995 GMC Sierra ½ ton 6.5 liter diesel engine with 150k on the conversion2. Engine is completely computer controlled with factory GM ECM3. 4L80e auto transmission mounted behind the engine4. Marks adapter used to convert to factory T-case5. Stock drivelines6. 2 inch OME lift kit with shocks, etc7. 33" BFG AT tires8. Brakes upgraded to '93-'97 rotors and calipers9. GM Hydroboost brake master cylinder from '95 GMC sierra10. '95 Land Cruiser leather power seats (Better material and power)11. Grey interior12. Cd player with mp3 control13. Dual battery system with external starter solenoid14. Autopage alarm with auto car start15. Dakota digital tach adapter16. Power windows17. ARB Bull barThe 6.5 liter turbo diesel from a ½ ton truck is the only street legal diesel conversion you can do to a Land Cruiser, even in California. The engine is newer than the cruiser and it's from a similar class vehicle ( ½ ton vs ¾ ton). There's plenty of power on tap, and it has 18-20 mpg on average. All emission equipment is present and functional on the engine, and licensing should not be a problem.On Feb-16-13 at 08:18:55 PST, seller added the following information: New Information (in response to questions): --this vehicle is not titled in California. It is titled in Colorado. I have imported several diesel TLCs and you shouldn't have a problem--the vehicle runs strong; yes I'd drive it home (or to South America)--It's a 1991, so of course it shows wear. But accounting for that year, I'd describe exterior an 8.5 and interior a 9 (on a ten scale). --it does not blow smoke.--conversion was done a reputable shop in Seattle.
