Vehicle Detail

1967 Ford Falcon Econoline Window VanVIN# E11FHB30430 Let me begin by saying this could truly be a one of a kind vehicle. I have found no other van like it in hours of searching and calling people who deal with military collectibles. From what I have learned, vehicles like these were used to taxi folks around the base. It has the nomenclature plate that all military items display. As well as Army registration number IS 4624 on front doors that match nomenclature plate. I am not sure if the paint is original due to different color near the numbers on doors. It could be that a magnetic sign or something similar could have been covering that part for years and the rest of paint just faded. The van has windows all the way around, the two in doors and the two directly across open, (pop outs). The front windows roll up and down with ease. Windshield is cracked and should be replaced. One of the rear side windows is broken and I have a factory replacement and will be included to winning bidder. The body has rust spots in various places in and around the van, with most of these spots being untouched. Note one of the spots on drivers side just ahead of rear wheel. Some of them have had some repair, like on the on the front corner. The driver’s side rear door is a replacement, but I have the original and is included. There are dinks and dents on body, typical of a 45 year old vehicle. The engine is a 170 ci. Inline six cylinder. Most of the original parts are still on motor and performing well, the oil bath air filter, manifolds, valve cover. Not sure about carburetor. Does have newer radiator, and some of brake lines have been replaced. Motor runs good, but has a miss. I believe this to be a burnt exhaust valve, #2 cylinder. There is a you tube video link at end of listing to show engine running. The inside consists of original front bucket seats; they are in need of recovering. It has seats belts for front seats. There is a fair amount of rust in front area where your feet would rest. This is likely on all early fords, due to water and dirt splashing in that area from below. The mid and rear bench seats are in much better shape with only a few poke tears on the back sides. The rear bench does not have hold down clips, and the block shown in photos is being used to hold it in place is not included in sale. The glove box has the fiberboard inside intact. Dash pad and glove box are black in color. The dash pad has sun crack. The dash displays a warranty sticker that explains van service per government standards and there is a good driver sticker on driver’s door. The turn signals, headlights, brake lights, reverse lights, interior lights all work. The floor is covered in a rubber mat that is removable. I do not have keys for door locks. The speedometer shows 577XX and this may or may not be the true miles, due to nature of use and condition of van. The speedometer and odometer does work. When the side door is opened a manual assist step extends. This was a factory option. The lid for battery box is intact. The transmission is three speed on the column. It shifts though all the gears great and clutch is good. Steering is very tight and you can run down the highway and let go of wheel with no pulling to side. Tires look to be near new, 15” on rear and 14” on front. All in all, this is likely the cleanest unrestored early model Ford van on the market today, as well as a very unique military vehicle collectible. I am offering this to worldwide buyers. I will work with you as far as getting this to a transport carrier for shipping and can be stored here inside for 14 days after sale. If more time is needed we will work it out. If you would like to see a part of van not pictured, let me know and I can send one to you. Buyer to paypal $500.00 non-refundable within 24 hours after auction closes. Remaining balance to be paid with cash or Bank of America cashiers check before pick up or shipping. Good Luck on winning this rare piece of military history. This is the correct one. http://youtu.be/KLXqP3N2PxE
