I am selling this car for a very good friend that is selling a very large car collection. This is one of many cars that I will be selling for him. I have many videos of the car running and driving as well as restoration pictures. 1951 Chrysler Imperial Convertible Very, very rare car; only 600 made and only 31 are known today worldwide Frame off restoration Hemi 331 engine, first year for the Hemi Fluid-Drive automatic transmission Top of the line car in 51 Practically everything is either new or rebuilt Power top works fine 200 miles on restoration This 51 Imperial took long time to be restored, in fact a very nice coupe has been used as a donor car to get the best body panels, trimmings and hard to find details ... Hard to find car, according to a Canadian collector which owns 13 of them...2 more are owned by friends of his. Never seen another one in person in all my life except this one. The 331" Hemi runs good, but never been driven for long distance yet. Engine still needs breaking in ... Fluid Drive tranny has been rebuilt too, very peculiar way of shifting. Upholstery have been matched with the same material as the original one Solid car overall Its NOT a show car at all, paint has some shadows and little scratches, minimal , hard to show them in the pics. Over all a nice driver condition car. Sure is an attention getter since many will ask what it is when cruising around...
