Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This 1970 Fiat 124 spider was originally purchased in Austin, Tx. It has stayed in Texas for most of the its life. I bought the car from the original owner who had it stored for 10 years. The original also board out the engine from 1400cc to 1608cc and replaced the interior in the 80's. I bought the car with intentions to fix it up all the way and sell however I only did about half the things I wanted to do and now i NEED to get rid of it. Here is a list of things that I have repaired or added to the car. I have put about $1000 into the car and a lot of hard work. Item added or fixed - New Tires (including spare) - New Brakes o New Master Cylinder o New Discs o New Pads o Rebuilt Calipers - New Rubber Fuel Lines - New Fuel Pump - Rebuilt Carburetor - Rebuilt Cylinder Head o 4 New Exhaust Valves o 1 New Intake Valve o Machined and Board Out - Rebuilt Alternator - New Gaskets o Oil Pan o Head gasket o Exhaust manifold o Intake Manifold - New Stereo o 4 speaker o USB, MP3, AUX in - New Bulbs (All the way around) - New Fan control switch - New Battery - Had the wood paneling custom made for the gauges (Just needs to be put in) - New head light switch Items that need to be replaced or repaired - New Convertible Top - Needs Paint o Has few dents o Has surface rust with some body rust (Shown in pics) - Door paneling - Sun Visors - Steering wheel is in rough shape - Needs carpet in the trunk - Rims need painting - Rear view mirror - Center console has wear - Needs gaskets around the lights - New speedo cable I have all the paper work and receipts for the parts and work that has been done. The engine is not put together but it did run before it was taken apart. The problem I had was after a few minutes of driving it would die. I am not sure if the valves were the culprit I wanted them replaced and the cylinder head board out to increase power. I have dressed up the engine bay a bit by painting parts in engine enamel black. The car is in pieces right now but they are labeled and in order. I have the title clear and in hand ready to sell. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. After auction is over I will take full payment within two weeks and it will be up to the buyer to ship the car.
