This is a 2000 Scootcar made by a company called Secma S.A. in France. It is powered by an Italian made 49cc, 2 stroke, automatic transmission, air cooled, electric start Franco Morini engine. This strange little car is in very good mechanical condition, runs and drives excellent. The top speed is just under 30 mph, it is considered to be a scooter therefore registration and a motorcycle endorcement is not necessary in some states. I do not know all of the regisration laws, so YOU will have to do some research. This unit is equipped with working lights, signal lights and a horn. It is not in the greatest cosmetic condition. There are some scratches and scrapes and someone decided to spray paint the grey part of the body and the paint is peeling off. The speedometer does not work, there is a slow leak in the rear tire and I have not been able to get the windshield wiper to operate. These cars originally retailed for over $6000 new, it is not a cheap Chinese disposable. The company is still in business and engine parts are still available through Secma and Franco Moroni USA. It woud be very easy to swap out the engine on this unit with maybe a 150cc + 4 stroke? I also have a stock pile of new and used parts available. There are a few videos on Youtube, check them out.
