Vehicle Detail
This Lexus is in good condition overall. I'm selling the car because my wife had a spinal fusion and needed seats that are more adjustable in order to make her more comfortable. Pros: The car starts, runs, and drives great. The tires were all replaced recently and have plenty of tread life. All of the brake pads and the front brake rotors were also recently replaced. I have always used synthetic oil and kept up with regular oil changes. The headlights were recently restored and they look 100x better now. One of the low beam headlight bulbs burned out a few months ago so I replaced both of them with new high intensity light bulbs and, in addition to illuminating much more of the road, they look much better. I would not hesitate to drive this car on a long road trip. It has been very reliable. The sound system sounds amazing, the heater and A/C work great, the ride is comfortable and quiet, and it has power leather seats. There is no rust and only minor exterior imperfections, which is expected with a car this age and with this many miles. This car doesn't even need another oil change for a while. It is ready to drive. I have the title in hand. Cons: 1. The mechanic says that the rear valve cover gasket is leaking oil. It doesn't leak enough that you have to top it off between oil changes, but it has been leaving spots on the garage floor. 2. Something is wrong with the power door locks and windows. I had trouble getting the driver and passenger windows to come up a couple times and only the hatch's lock works when you operate the power locks. The mechanic said that all of these things may be related to the body control module (the master switch assembly in the driver door) but he couldn't say for certain without more in depth trouble shooting. It might be an inexpensive fix, but I don't know for sure. 3. The check engine light is on. The mechanic says that the code is for some kind of temperature sensor, so I haven't messed with it because outside temperature display on the dash is accurate and I have never had a problem with cabin temperature control. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
