Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE 2002 Triumph Daytona 955i Centennial Edition NO RESERVE!!!(Not GSXR, CBR, NINJA, R6, R1) VIN: SMT502FP52J141232, 3 cylinder 12 valve DOHC, 955cc, 6 speed, Chain Drive, 22 Liter fuel tank, approx 149 hp, Electronically Fuel Injected, Bike is colored "British Racing Green" which is the same dark hunter green seen on a lot of jaguars, MGs, Triumphs, etc. It looks black at night. Seller has CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE IN HAND! This bike is not your cookie cutter motorcycle. It is a British made Triumph with a long history of class and heritage. This fuel injected Centennial Edition (Only about 8500 made) is more comfortable, more reliable, better handling, and probably faster than your buddy's Japanese bike. And it will stand out in the crowd for sure! It has a very unique single sided swing arm (shown in the pictures). The Good: This bike runs well with only a little over 18,000 miles. The engine's internals are forged (not cast like other bikes) allowing these bikes to go well over 100,000 trouble free miles. The single sided swing arm makes the rear wheel removal easy. It has newer tires, a new stator, a new regulator rectifier, a good battery, new adjustable brake and clutch lever, and a new chain. All scheduled maintenance has been completed (No maintenance records available). It also has a Triumph Carbon Fiber exhaust and a DynoJet Power Commander (pictured $300 option) which allows you to download tuner maps from their website and upload them to your bike via USB. The rear lifting stand ($150), dealer service manual ($200), Triumph tank protector ($8), and stock tool kit, are also included. This bike and its options and extras book for $4,985 high retail and $3,825 low retail (as figured by my credit union). The Bad: -This bike has many scratches and cosmetic flaws. It looks nice from 10 feet but when you're up close to it, you can definitely see the torn decals and blemishes. These damages do not affect the performance of the bike. The previous owner had a carbon fiber skin on it but I removed it because I think it looks better now. You can have a custom skin put on it for about 300-400 dollars which would make it look brand new and unique. These Blemishes are the only reason I'm not selling this bike for over $4k. -The low fuel light will not shut off. Unknown reason but it could be as simple as a stuck float. A new fuel gauge sensor is about $175 and easy to put in. If you fill up every 150 miles you don't have to worry about this. -A rear seat cowl is not included. When I purchased this bike it only came with the second seat. -The license plate on this motorcycle WILL STAY WITH THE SELLER. In Florida, the plate can be transferred to another motorcycle and the registration fees are prorated. The rear turn signals are attached to the plate so I will provide a dummy plate for transport. I put this in here because a previous buyer of a motorcycle from me on Ebay was upset because I didn't include my license plate in the sale and in California the plate goes with the bike. In other words, I don't care how they do things in your state, I'm keeping my plate! -The previous owner eliminated the rear fender and attempted to make it look good but forgot to add turn signals. I just added some to the bottom of the license plate to keep it legal. I have owned this bike for three months and I love it but I want to buy a cruising style bike to be able to commute longer distances more comfortably. Since I will need the funds gained from the sale of this bike to purchase a different one, I will continue to ride this bike until the auction is over so it will have a few more miles on it. Sales Policy: Place a bid or Buy It Now - only if you're serious about purchasing this vehicle. If you are the winner of this bike, you will enter into a legally binding contract to purchase it. Payment/Shipping Terms: The high bidder or "Buy It Now" purchaser must submit a $500.00 deposit through PayPal within 48 hours of the end of this auction to hold the bike. The remainder of the funds are due within 7 business days after the end of the auction and will need to either be sent to me with a certified check or money order via USPS, FedEx, or UPS with a tracking number. If you're picking it up locally, you can also pay with cash in person as long as you arrive within 7 business days. This complete transfer of funds must be made before the delivery of the vehicle. After the funds are transferred, you can pick up the vehicle (Port Charlotte, FL), arrange with a 3rd party shipping company to have it shipped and I will meet them, or I will ship anywhere in continental US for 75 cents/mile (If your address is 1000 miles from mine, I will drop the bike at your front door for $750.00). If you choose to have me ship the bike, I will need the additional shipping funds transferred through PayPal before I ship the vehicle. Mapquest will be used to determine mileage and I will head out the day after the funds are sent. I will not arrange shipping through a 3rd party for the buyer! I have done this before and it is a nightmare! *I have 100% positive feedback after over a decade on Ebay and after 70 purchases and sales. I take it seriously and hope the buyer would contact me to resolve an issue prior to leaving negative feedback.* THIS IS A USED MOTORCYCLE AND IS BEING SOLD AS IS WITH NO WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS AUCTION AT ANY TIME DUE TO PRIOR LOCAL SALE. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE PRIOR TO BIDDING. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND HAPPY BIDDING!!!!
