I am not a Model T expert by any measure, so my opinions might not reflect yours. I bought the car about 10 years ago from a gentleman in Texas. He sold it as a 1917 model and it is titled (in Florida) as such. He told me that the previous owner had done an amatuer restoration 20 years before, and "converted it to electric" because he was afrid to hand crank it. After I got it, I began to feel, based on some features, that it was a later year, perhaps a 1922. There are some things that would place it as a '17, however. After I bought it, it sat unused in my garage for the last 10 years. I have done minimal maintenance during that time and it seems to start, run, drive and stop like a Model T. The passenger side door (the only one!) binds on closing. Occasionally the carb float will stick, but a tap with wrench cures that. The paint is what it is....done a long time ago with chips, nicks and spider web crazing here and there. There isn't any real rust other than that associated with nicks, etc. The gas tank is rusting internally and should be removed and replaced or boiled out and treated with rust inhibitor. I added a fuel filter and that seems to be keeping the issue at bay, at least temporarily. Lights work (one headlight lens is cracked), horn, ammeter, generator operate. The cutout on the gen has been bypassed with an off/on switch. Upholstery is quite presentable, the top is good but faded and operates properly. I have tried to describe the car as honestly as I can but I would be happy to answer any questions or take any other pics you may want.
